Proof that you can find anything on YouTube these days: Several songs from the June 20, 1965 Beatles appearance at the Palais Des Sports are not on YouTube. It's strange to watch those and know that you were in that crowd. I remember being surprised at how long George and Ringo's hair was. I had never seen it that long in any picture.

 I'll have to check it out.  Funny, I was just telling someone tonight that I had gone to the Beatles concert at the Olympia in the fall of '63 or the beginning of '64.  My date was Pete Spivey...a double date! They were on the bottom of the booking with Trini Lopez and Sylvie Vartan.  

Not sure why I got this just now if it was posted last year.  I was in the crowd at the Palais that day!  Went with my dear pal Nancy and we screamed like maniacs,  Who knew then just how much of an icon for our generation The Beatles would become?!  Thank you so much for these links.  Binky Binkley Mahoney

I just got back from aBeatle's tour of Liverpool - great - and remberbered the spring tour in 64 at the Olympia.  They came on last but the French loved Trini  while the Brits and American's loved the Beatles. Well, maybe the French were not listening to radio Luxembourg.  (Vartan was great and i met her at a party in LA in the late 80's - still looked great")  It must have been early April as the leaves were just starting to come out.  But by 1965 they were playing far larger venues.  In 65 I was in Munch at the U of Mryland campus and hitch hiked to Copenhagan to se a Danish girl friend from Shape and spent the night in Hamburg where i went too the Star Club and saw Marion davis sing ( of the Prufumo scandal). Later met her in tel Avi where she had a bar/restaurant in 1987.  What a small world.
