I lived in down town Paris for 1.5 years and 1.5 years near Palace of Versailles. My father, Col. Joe Ambrose was assigned to the U.S. Embassy. I believe John Isenhower's father was his boss. Roaming the streets of Paris is what I remember most. I also remember John Davenport ('60) and I going to see THE PLATTERS perform, singing THE GREAT PRETENDER, TWILIGHT TIME, etc. Afterwards, we socialized with them. I think they thought we were USA International Playboys. Late that night they actually gave us a car ride back to my home.
Another memory is going on a train trip with Bill Ely, Dale Means & Bill Rountree to the Worlds Fair in Brussels, Belgium. It was a fun time not to be forgotten.
