Richard "Rick" Bessom

When you have been around as long as most of us have, most of us have done a lot of different things. I am no different.

I'm trying exceptionally hard to retire. Last vestige of working now is the time I spend with H&R Block, doing all things tax related. Still own part of a real estate company, but my active role has been reduced to bugging my partners to get the books in order to file taxes.

Prior to becoming obsessed with retirement, in 2005, I became licensed in Georgia as a Realtor and in 2008 became a Broker. I also became licensed in Virginia in 2008 as a Broker and worked in two real estate businesses (one in each state).

Before all that, I worked for AT&T for about 17 years and Motorola for about 7. The remainder of my professional life, and it seems like a hundred years, was spent consulting to a wide variety of companies - mostly in the high tech arena.
