Tom Knudsen - Class Of 1960

Tom Knudsen

Tom passed away on October 29, 2023 in Blairsville, Georgia. Thank you Mona Knudson for letting us know and Tom's passing..

Tom Knudsen went home to Jesus on October 29, 2023. Tom was born on December 27, 1941 to
Helen (Page) and Arthur Knudsen in St. Paul, MN. He graduated high school at Paris American
High School in 1960. He attended Phoenix College and joined the Air Force in September of
1961 and served until September of 1967 including in the reserves. He was employed by IBM
March of 1966 and retired January of 1996, having advanced in the Engineering field.
Tom loved flying, owned his own plane for many years, and held a Commercial Pilots and
Mechanics license. He loved the outdoors, boating, water skiing, snow skiing, snow shoeing,
snowmobiling and traveling in his motorhome.
Tom was stationed with the Air Force in Denver, CO and met Patricia Basham. They were
married on July 27, 1962 at LaJunta, CO. Patty also worked for IBM and they lived in several
different states, spending the last 15 years with IBM in Georgetown, TX. With a love of CO,
after retiring, they moved to Pagosa Springs, CO for 10 years and then lived in Canon City, CO.
Patty passed from this earth on March 24, 2010.
Tom met Mona Lee (Miller) Krewson, also widowed, on June 30, 2010 and they were married
September 28, 2011 in Ouray, CO. Tom and Mona both loved traveling and camping in their
motorhome especially throughout CO. Tom and Mona lived in Canon City until 2022 when they
moved to Blairsville, GA to be close to family. Tom enjoyed having an extended family when he
and Mona married, 2 daughters, 5 grandchildren and their spouses and especially the 7 great-
grandchildren.
Tom is preceded in death by his above-mentioned parents and his sister Cheryl Badger. He
leaves behind his wife, Mona, his sisters Jody Gettinger and Michele Arrandale and his brother
Chris Knudsen and many nieces and nephews.
Tom is deeply missed and loved always.

Al Moffitt (1960)

very sore to hear of Tom's passing. He played Left tackle and I played Left end next to him 

for both our Jr. and Sr. Years T PAHS. Always enjoyed Toms company and friendship.

Hard to believe Tom has passed. Our class has lost a good friend.
