Bill passed away May 1, 2020 at the age of 73 in Fairfax Station, VA following a long illness.  He attended PAHS for his sophomore and junior years, and graduated from Yorktown HS in Arlington, VA.  He received a Masters Degree from George Washington University in economics and statistics, and spent 17 years as a statistician with the US Census Bureau where in the International Statistics program center he was a consultant in over 15 countries.  He then worked 16 years in the White House Office of Management and Budget developing and overseeing programs until his retirement in 2002.  Following retirement, he consulted for several government agencies and foundations.  He was an avid storyteller and gardener, who generally loved life.  He and his wife of 38 years hosted frequent gatherings in their home.  Bill is survived by his wife Kathy, and his daughter Allison, his stepson Sean and several grandchildren.
