Dan was a good friend of mine and lived down the street in St. Germain from me. We both went to Univ. of Md in Munich and lo and behold were assigned to be roommates. His nickname was "bunny rabbit" - not sure why. He transfered to College park, Md and I to Gerogetown where we spent many weekends together with the Munich crowd in College Park. He died at a Munich party in the Fall of 1968 - I don't think anyone knew why. -Sort of a crib death type of event.
I called him Danny. Danny was tall, quiet and funny. Danny and his sister, Kathy, were my dear friends. Our parents knew each other and we got together for dinners fairly often. Danny and Kathy were my only means of ever getting to go to the Teen Club as they lived closer to military housing than I did. I lived in Paris by Les Invalides.where I walked to the Arc de Triomphe to pick up the military bus that would take me to the base. I often spent the night at the Moore's house to return home the next day. I do not know how I heard of his passing, but remember how shocked I was that he had died so young.

My family called him Dan as he grew older. He died of an undiagnosed heart condition, too too young.
