April 2015--we are still enjoying Denver life, however the last 6 months of rapid high rise construction has begun to change the city--definitely not a cow town any more. We are considering some alternate locations for a 2nd home, and currently in Phoenix with beautiful weather. Have also considered buying a house again in Steamboat Springs, or maybe a place in San Diego. Who knows? Ask us next year! Cooper is now 9, Inga 6 and Sidney is 3, so we only want to be where we can see the 3 children on a frequent basis. I have grandchild "withdrawal" when I don't see them for a solid month.

School Story:

arrived in France 1963; after PAHS I attended American College of Paris which is now American University of Paris; I have only been back to France once since then, in 1984 when we went to Paris to help our daughter move back to the US and finish her degree at Hamilton College (she was having so much fun in France, she didn't want to leave; can't say I blame her for that!) have had very few reunions or contacts with my old classmates. Would love to hear from everyone! we can swap our stories! if you come to Denver, give me a call.

2023 is the year nearly all of this turn 77. Yikes! I hope it isn't too painful for you, and birthdays are supposed to be fun but this has not be good. Suddenly, we are the old ones own the crowd, not the youngest. Memories of Paris days are still strong, however, including our various adventures as high school students in the system. And now our grandchildren are the ones heading out into the brave world. Cooper heads off to college next year, and now the 2 youngest are in middle school together. Tony and I try to remain calm and as strong as possible. Aging is not for sisies, but the only game in town keeps us on our toes. Happy summer to you all

My deepest sympathies for all the family. Teery and I graduated in France together, but I havent' seen him since then so, it is remarkable and unfortunate that the only way to be in reunion is to send each other's families notes of sympathy. Cynthai  Chafin McNeese Vaida in Colorado

2022 at last? 2020 was a lost year, half of 2021 was "lost" but we've been getting back to normal more and more each week. Wishing you another wonderful and happy birthday, especially, lots of CAKE! sweets for a sweetie

My ex is struggling outside Nashville as a good friendmade him an offer he could not refuse on his three bedroom Jay Street home. "Denver has lost that cow town feeling" is so true! Although Missouri bores the heck out of me (flat, with more flat), my townhouse rental rates and good landlords have no comparison to Denver and environs. Thinking relocating to Braga, Portugal, as those post-WWII years living in France are deep in my soul. No place in USA has ever touched my heart as much as getting off a plane and stepping with joy onto the soil of Europe. At 77, I have a hip replacement scheduled for May and intend to set forth on my fourth Camino de Santiago on the Catalan Route in September. Wish you well in your relocation considerations. I love my North Carolina-based grand children and their parents are awesome; for me, a lighter, less proximate touch. Once year, say over Thanksgiving, works well. I am a wanderer, a traveler, a mystic and a dreamer. I marvel the changes COVID has wrought, how quickly, after a bit of a grumble, humanity has adapted. I gained too much "pizza and Netflix" and thankfully discovered Dr Berg's Intermittent Fasting Keto. I still smoke, see a doctor once every twenty years, trust homeopathy and sensible supplements, take no Rx meds. How are our classmates tumbling off the perch so recently? I am living long and with a judicious eye to investments and Social Security, sensibly prospering. The men in my life could never keep up with me and with many an eyeroll, I left them in the dust. I am looking forward to being the crazy cat lady ... give it a few years!

Dear Kitsy, Wishing you a Happy Birthday and hoping we can be back in touch. We are still in Denver enjoying condo life. Our grandkids are growing up too fast, as I am sure yours are also doing the same! Amazing that our oldest grandson is a sophomore in high school and already planning his college years. Where did time go? Cynthia
