In Memory

Peter Pauli - Class Of 1966

Peter Pauli

It is with great sadness that I convey the passing of my beloved brother Peter Pauli on January 13, 2015. Pete was a member of the class of 1966 and was always very proud of his time in PAHS. He was able to attend the 2014 reunion in San Antonio and had a great time, in spite of his illness. Pete had a very distinguished career in the U.S. Army and was laid to rest with full military honors at Ft. Sam Houston. He leaves behind his loving wife, Linda, his loving Mother and brother. Pete was a wonderful person and he will be very much missed.

I am so sorry to hear the sad news that Peter is gone. He did indeed attend the reunion on San Antonio, in fact, he and Linda renewed their wedding vows along with four other couples.

I am so sorry Linda.

This news comes as a shock.  Pete and I were good friends during our senior year.  A few years back we re-connected.  I had looked forward to seeing him at the San Antonio reunion, but couldn’t attend.  I’ve always remembered him as a friend with a great sense of humor, always on the go. My condolences to his family, I know they’ve felt a great loss.

Way too young to depart.  Pete and I communicated off-and-on over the years but had not seen each other since graduation from PAHS (Pete actually reconnected with me after his return from Vietnam).   While Pete and I had a casual relationship at PAHS we did enjoy each other's company from time-to-time during which moments we shared thoughts about the world and events before us.  Pete always was a "well-grounded"  fellow -- he wasn't "quiet" just mature and "sympatico."  I think he did not suffer most of the "sturm und drang" normal for the teen years.  He was thoughtful and supportive and approached life, I think, with balance and purpose.  He didn't belong to one of the "cliques" at PAHS and seemed to enjoy everybody.  My thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.

Please accept my sincere condolences on Peter's passing.

I didn't know Peter that well during our PAHS years but reconnected  with him at the 2014 reunion.  I was surprised by his rememberences of me at PAHS and he was so gacious in his comments to me.  I am saddened by his passing and wish I'd reached out to him before that time.  Go in peace.
