In Memory

Ruth Lipscomb - Class Of 1961

My sister Ruth Lipscomb died 12-26-90, age 47, in Fort Worth, Texas. Survived by sister Mary Lipscomb (Walton), class of 1966 and brother David Lipscomb.

She was in remission for 14 years, which gave her time to finish raising her daughter. She fought her battle bravely and without flinching. She was working on her M.B.A. at the time, becoming a natural leader in her classes. She was dearly loved by her co-workers at General Dynamics.

Ruth was a classmate at PAHS.  Although we were acquaintences then, we became friends many years later at the reunion held at Dulles Airport, VA.  I am glad we had that opportunity.  Ruth is and will be remembered.

I remember Ruth as a lovely, kind, gentle person.  I am sure she was a blessing to all who knew her.

My wish for peace for her family and friends.  PAHS brought us all together.  We remain together in memory.

I remember Ruth as quiet, serene, confident, and elegant. It is no surprise that she was beloved by so many prople she knew.

Ruth and I were good friends at PAHS....she was Dave Ackner's 'girl friend'....geez, they made a great couple....a couple of years later, she and I bumped into each other while attending Texas Christian University (TCU) in Ft. Worth...still quiet and SOOOO Attractive!!!  She was just a wonderful person....will always remember her....Hank Dittman, Class of '61

Ruth was a very kind soul. She will be remembered. She always had a pleasant smile and gentleness about her. She had style on grace.

I was a casual friend of Ruth in Paris. Later, when I wass still at Texas A&M, we had a datein Ft. Worth. It was a wondeful evening. I believe that we both surprised how compatible we were. As I reflect on that brief encounter, I have no idea why I never saw ner again. Bad judgement on my part. I will always have fond memories of Ruth.   Pete '61
