Carol was in the class of 1968. She died in 9th grade of a brain tumor - she was just 13 or 14. She was a close friend of Barbara Rousch. We were all devastated - it was sudden. I still to this day am saddened.

I remember Carol as a classmate of my brother, Dave's.  She was a sweetheart.  How sad to be gone so young.

Whether it's a reunion, a small group of PAHS friends getting together, or just a couple of us chatting, Carol's name always comes up.  She was special, always remembered and forever a part of 'us'.

I, too, remember Carol but never got to know her.  She spent more time out of school than in.  I often wondered what the cause of her death was, now I know.  May she rest in peace.

It's always hard to lose a friend but devastating @ age 14.  Carol was a kind, funny, sweet friend and I will always remember her.

I don't remember Carol, but I'm sure as a member of the PAHS family she's sorely missed by many of us.

Carol and I were in Mr. Crawford's class (can't remember if the class was English or German because I had him for both). While Carol and I did not hang with the same group of people, I remember her death quite vividly and the impact her death had on both students and Mr. Crawford. I often thought of Carol over my long career in teaching when I had to help kids deal with the death of a fellow student. Her death helped me understand what my students were going through. Mr. Crawfod's reaction and what he said to us to ease our pain helped me guide students in dealing with their pain and helped me to deal with my own emotions and feeling of loss. Thank you, Carol, for showing us the way. I'll always remember you.

I was in Home Ec with Carol.  We sat at the same table.  She was a very sweet, quiet young lady.  She was so pale all the time, Miss (can't remember her name) always used to worry that she was ok.  I remember when she suddenly wasn't there.  We heard she was in hospital and then  - boom  - she was gone.  I went to her Memorial Service.  I was numb.  Couldn't figure out how a girl so young and seemingly healthy could just go.  I had recently lost a dear friend of mine who was shot and died in my arms.  That was not a very good year. Gone, but not forgotten, even these many years later.
