I was sorry to learn of Mark's death. We played football together for two years during our Jr. and Sr. years on the 64 and 65 teams. The teams were good and Mark was an outstanding two way player at offensive tackle and linebacker. I played corner back behind Mark and was often the beneficiary of having Mark take out all of the blockers which made making the tackle easier. Mark was very fast for a big person and also excelled in wrestling and soccer. The football trip to London Central and the 6-0 victory on a gray/rainy day and the post game celebration in London that night in 65 are great memories. The Senior Prom on the Eiffel Tower and the party at the Lido afterward are also wonderful to remember. Mark was a good friend many years ago at PAHS and I am sorry we will not be able to reconnect at a future reunion. I hope Mark's family has many wonderful memories of him. Rest in peace Mark.

Dear Karen,

Such fond memories of Mark. I had the pleasure of being in his company during the PAHS 2000 reunion in Paris. I reminded him that I was on the wrestling team with him and was in the 103 pound weight class. Well, one day I took him on and he toyed with me until he got a little bored. He then just laid that large frame on top of me and stayed there while the rest of the team and coaches got a good laugh. Then, as now, it was taken with the kindness and good spirit that was Mark. I miss him.

Best Regards to you, your family and all others who were touched by Mark.

Dear Karen,

My best memory of Mark was at your wedding. Mark gave special attention to my sister Kathy and me. He kept us laughing the whole time.

In high school I was a bit below his radar, but he always said "hi" in the halls at PAHS. To him I was Kathy's little sister (and his little sister's buddy).

I wish I could have seen him again, but these memories are dear to me.

Love to you, Karen OLIN Manno

I remember Mark wanting to play the fullback position and did at Verdun (I think). Late in the game Mark was put in as fullback and just blew the defense into the end zone. I was playing center or gard at that time.
Mark was always full of fun and kept me laughing. I hope to see him on the other side.
