Suspect Info: Shot and killed

Officer Larry Stewart was shot and killed after responding to a night club for reports of an unruly customer harassing other customers. The suspect was able to gain control of Officer Stewart's service revolver and shot him. Other officers responding to the scene shot and killed the suspect.

Officer Stewart had been with the agency for 5 years. He was survived by his parents.

*Note:  This has been confirmed with Larry's mother and a good friend of his that served on the police force with him in Hawaii.

Russell Perkins (1966)

I worked with Larry in HPD, but was off the night he was killed. It was a tragic loss. I was not aware that he had a connection with PAHS.  I graduated with the class of '66.
