Comments:

Since I left Paris in June of 1966 , I went to Texas for college. First at Texas A&M then the Univ. of North Texas. Got a B.S. in Education/Psychology, an M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education, and did a post-grad program (ABD) in E.C.E. and Computer Science. Professionally, I taught Kindergarten for a number of years in Dallas and then entered the corporate technology world. Started with a small software company, then worked in corporate (EDS Corp.) training and development, built and managed a satellite broadcasting / corporate training function for many years. Later involved in online/web-based training development, consulting, project management, and project implementation in the areas of technology and the learning process. In 2007 we left the city for the quiet of a rural environment and a house in the woods. I worked as an Instructional Technologist for the local school district (Denton, TX) until June 2014 and I am now retired. My lovely and talented partner Maureen retired (Dec. 2017) as a Vice President in HR for Dell Computer Corporation. We are both now at home managing the household and land while pursuing our hobbies - playing music, workshop stuff, auto preservation - '69 Jaguar E-Type, travel, genealogy, and keeping the dogs well fed and exercised. So far the dogs like the arrangement just fine and I'm now acclimated to long spells of drinking coffee in the morning out on the deck. We spend our summers at our cottages on Martha's Vineyard and come back to Texas in the Fall. Life is good, has always been interesting since Paris, and I can't wait to see what tomorrow brings. So, all the best to all of you out there and drop me a line if you feel so inclined.

School Story:

Nectar of the Gods camp outs (amazed we survived). The wrestling team - dieting, meets, and trips with the Smith brothers (Tom & Greg), Art Locklear, Art Ives, Colin Collins, Mark Quinlan (RIP). Working at the Rod & Gun club at Camp de Loges, bagging groceries at Belle Manor, the teen club dances. Running buddies - Frank Burris, Jim Yackley, Bob Pago, Tom Smith et al. Romances I was ill-prepared for (Pamela Pierce, Donna Deyhle), struggling in school because of very poor work habits (not to mention behavior), all that was Paris in the 60's and all of the people I knew, kind of knew, and wish I knew. It was and is a significant part of my growing up and who I am today. Thanks to all of you that were with me along the way with your friendship and acceptance. I continue to have great memories of you, of Paris, and of the times in which we lived.

Happy Birthday Bev! I trust that all is well with you and yours.

I'm still processing the passing of Joe Edwards and remembering the last time I / we saw him at the San Antonio reunion a number of years ago. A cause for introspection.

Also, I recently had contact with Tom Smith, my old running buddy at PAHS. He is Army retired and a widower living in Virginia. I hope to see him on my next trip up that way.

Stay well and all the best moving froward,

Brant

Joe was such a good person back in our days at PAHS.  Kind and personable are the two words I might use to describe him.  We saw one another most recently at a PAHS All Year(s) reunioin in San Antonio around 15 years ago.  Got to meet his lovely wife and catch up on his life in retirement.  He was as kind and personable then as well.  Rest in Peace Joe.  You were a good man.  Brant Weatherford ('66)
