Thanks for answering a question that has been on my mind since the first time I saw the yearbook. No one would fess and I always thought Ramos staged it to pimp me. Well played

Don, I'd like to know "have you ever seen the streets run red with the blood of a thousand dead and a thousand more in their misery, have you ever been what they call free?". Just curious. Dave

Alex, I can't find your phone number anywhere, would you please send it to me at merriman135@aol.com. I wanted to talk to you instead of a message. I can only try to imagine how your doing. I've always considered you a close friend and time will never change that. I send you the love and prayers of a brother. Dave

Zeke, Sorry about the delay I move at the speed of retired. Things are going good here seem real busy doing I don't know what. Every year whem the LL world series rolls around I think of you and Larry Derose. Yes you're right I did make you look good. You pitchers got all the glory "Zlotkowski Leads Paris over Verdun". I'm still haunted by the play that beat us and the first time you threw me a curve in all star practice. I remember seeing the ball come off your hand and thinking how hard I was going to hit it. I almost screwed myself in the ground when I missed it and I still can see you standing on the mound laughing. The coach was pissed and wouldn't let you throw it again. I went home and had my dad throw me curves until I could catch it and the next few days pitch them to me until I copuld hit it - but sure as shit missed the one you threw me. Wish you would have stayed in Paris through yopur soph year so we could have played together. Had a solid all star team Stan Monk, Bill Moore , Derose, Foster, Macluskey, Cave (Everux) , to name a few- could have really used one more pitcher. How's retired life - you missing the "corn dog"? I don't miss flying but I do miss some of the trips and the people. Luckily got a great group to play golf with. (ended with an adjective Oklahoma education) Adult beverages and cigars are part of the post golf routine. Grand son just walked in have to go - more later. You take care Zeke I need good memories

Nancy, First off nice to hear from you as I feel you get assist credit for Linda and me. Huh? Some how things got mixed up and Linda's messages come to me, but I will pass it on. We're doing great, still living in AZ. Linda retired awhile back and is doing Granny duty (my son). I retired last August and found I'm quite skilled at doing very little productive. Still holding hands, laughing at goofy things and enjoying life together. I'll Linda get in touch. Dave

Was talking baseball with a teammate from college the other day and he asked me what was the best pitched game I ever caught. From Little League through college and 8 years of fast pitch in the Air Force it's an easy choice. I told him it was a 2 hit 1-0 shutout thrown by a guy named DeRose. Best command of the pitches I ever saw. My dad was so proud of that game (especially being an old pitcher) he used to ask me about it quite regularly. Hope all is good. Dave

Duke, Loved the xmas card as usual ours will be a New Years card. Your name came up the other day. We had finished playing golf and two of the guys ( Phil Corcorran and Bill Botti) mentioned Dave Duke and I said I knew a Dave Duke and we summerized it was you. Do their names ring a bell? My best to Pam and the family. Dave

Francie, I don't get on the web site much but was sadden to hear about your son. Mine is 35 and one of my closest friends besides being my son I thought I lost him once and can only try to imagen. I hope the good memories are helping each day.
I also have a question - were you ever a flight attendant? I seem to rmember running into one day or at our (probably just me) memory is not always a strong suit. Take care Dave
