Gary Pringle

Gary Dean Pringle, 76, of Topeka, KS died on Jan. 8, 2016 at Stormont-Vail HealthCare after a brief illness.  He was born in Osawatomie, KS on Aug. 29, 1939 to Vada Lorene (Matney) and Walter Earl Pringle who preceded him in death.

He is survived by a sister, Janet Lorene (Pringle) Thompson of McKinney, TX and her 2 sons, Brian and Austin; daughters Cathy (Domingo) Guerra of Granbury, TX; Theresa “Tee” (Joe) Hemmer of Topeka, KS, and Laura (Phil) Howard of Carmel, IN; 3 granddaughters Kelsey (Tyler) Pruitt and Madison Hemmer of Topeka, KS, and Sarah Howard of Carmel, IN; 3 grandsons Jeffrey Howard of Beeville, TX, Steven Howard of Granbury,
TX, and Chris Howard of Carmel, IN, and 1 great-grandson, Mason Pruitt, of Topeka, KS.

Gary was a proud graduate of Paris American High School in Paris, France.  He worked at DuPont
(Flexel) as a Recycle Technician.  He was a Quality Control Technician at Reser’s Food. He enjoyed European travel, including trips to Germany and Israel.  He was proud of several published “Letters to the Editor” in the Topeka Capital-Journal newspaper. He was recognized for donating over 21 gallons of blood and in fact saved one woman’s life after the 1965 Topeka tornado. He was a member of the Topeka Bible Church. Dad was known for helping others, his sense of humor, and his commitment and love for Jesus Christ.

Gary was and remains a great friend. I will always remember our time at PAHS and what a great ball player Gary was. May he find peace and rest from a wonderful life and may we always remember our classmate. RIP friend - we will miss you.
